STITCHING HOOP CLOCK DESIGNS APPLIQUÉ TECHNIQUE M N Run the remaining embroidery steps of the design. The final machine step of each hoop clock design will be a marking stitch as indicated with dotted circle. Note: marking stitch is used to assemble hoop clock in the finishing instructions. FOLDED FABRIC TECHNIQUE Design HOOPCLOCK8 is created using the folded fabric technique. To begin, follow steps A-E on page 6. Resume with the following instructions beginning with step 3 of this particular design. A B Place your appliqué fabric, right side facing up, over top of the placement stitches. Be sure the fabric will extend at least 1.5” past the circumference of your batting. This will be needed to attach the design to the wooden hoop. Trim away the excess fabric from the tack down stitches. Repeat steps J-M for any remaining appliqué fabrics of the design. O Once completed, remove your design and stabilizer from the embroidery hoop. Gently tear away the stabilizer from the design. Your completed design should look something like this. Step 3 of the design will be the placement stitch for your first piece of appliqué fabric. CREATING A HOOP CLOCK HOOPCLOCK8 HOOP CLOCKS | Projects Collection | 74
