STITCHING HOOP CLOCK DESIGNS FOLDED FABRIC TECHNIQUE C D Trim away the excess fabric from the tack down stitches only inside the design as shown. Be sure to leave the seam allowance around the hoop clock design. E F Place your fabric, right side facing down, 1/4” inside the placement stitch. G H Fold the fabric over top of the folding stitch as shown. Finger crease and tape in place. Note: be sure to account for seam allowance around the design when placing folded fabrics. The next machine step will be the tack down stitch for the appliqué fabric. You will now attach the folded fabrics for the design. This technique will always involve the same three steps. The first step is the placement stitch showing you where to place the folded fabric. The second step of the folded fabric technique is the folding stitch.
