We Emphasize Respect Sled Bandits must resprect all aspects of the game of hockey. This includes rules, coaches, officials, fellow players, members of the opposing team, rink staff, and volunteers. We Emphasize Dedication and Reliability Players must be dedicated to attending practices and games (including those that require travel) as well as supporting team-based activities such as fundraising. Sled Bandits value a healthy lifestyle and promote physical fitness and well-being. We Emphasize Character All team members must maintain the highest levels of character at all times - home and away. They represent 13 Inclusion - Sports Florida’s Premiere Sled Hockey Team: Florida Sled Bandits The Florida Sled Bandits is a team of Florida’s most elite Sled Hockey players, two of which are 2014 Gold Medal Paralympians. The sled Bandits’ program is designed to take highly motivated, technically advance players to national level competition and beyond - this level of play is a showcase for coaches and scouts! To ensure that team members are being exposed to the United States’ finest athletes and tournaments, travel is frequent and optimum effort is required! We Emphasize Talent Sled Hockey players must meet specific skill requirements to join the team. Judging is conducted by a panel of coaches, but to summarize, players must be able to compete at the most advanced levels. AmeriDisability July/August 2017
