We had our annual “Evento Maria” on May 21. It was a complete success! We duplicated last year’s event and I am so exhausted but absolutely happy with our accomplishment. I will tell you more about it and also about another event that we are planning to have soon, God willing. These are my feelings on “Behind the scenes of Mary’s Day.” We completed 62 lists of new members! Our theme was the love of God, and love of the most Holy Virgin Mary. As we hold Mary’s hand, we go to Jesus and lead other souls to Jesus and Mary. With each Mystery that we pray, we teach the Mysteries of the Gospel. United in prayer and reaching out to others, we are active in the love of our neighbor. We use the Holy Rosary not as an ornament or lucky charm, but as a means of prayer, an act of worship and union with God. The effort was great and our hearts were racing, but we thought how much joy and pleasure this day gave to the Heart of Mary. We were exhausted, tired and hungry when the day was complete, but there was an immense satisfaction of being able to serve God and to be used as His instruments in making a better world. We are grateful to all who helped us; they were a great team! Wilfredo, who had been healed by St. Philomena years ago, again was there to help us. The day was a total success! ARRIBA EL SALVADOR!
