Dear Fellow Employees: Martin Marietta believes in the highest ethical standards and demonstrates these beliefs through commitments to its employees, customers, communities, shareholders and suppliers. In addition, compliance and regulatory requirements have further added to today’s complex business environment. It is important that our company and all of its employees adhere to high ethical business practices each and every day. Ethical conduct is not something new in Martin Marietta; it has long been a core value for our company. Our Code of Ethical Business Conduct has been in place since the 1980s, as has regularly scheduled formal ethics training for all employees. The company also provides multiple avenues for clarification on ethical matters or reporting possible wrongdoing, including an Ethics Hotline. This Ethics Training program is an important part of our ongoing process to ensure each one of us is doing things the right way. The focus of the training will be to reinforce the fact that our company relies on all employees to make ethical business decisions that will maintain our core values. Individuals will review our Code of Ethical Business Conduct and the importance of using it as a guide for handling ethical issues. It is expected that this training will help employees understand their roles in ensuring our company conducts business in the most ethical manner. Participants will also be reminded of the resources and support our company provides as part of its obligation to help all employees keep ethics an important core value in Martin Marietta. The success of our company lies within each one of us. Kind Regards, C. Howard Nye Roselyn R.
