MEDALLIONAnatomy Each set contains the following four design pieces: 1CENTER BLOCK The center block, or octagon, design is the building block of each medallion quilt. It is placed in the middle of each quilt and every other piece is built around it. MODULAR MEDALLION 5 2LEFT & RIGHT EDGE BLOCKS 3BRICK BLOCK The left and right edge blocks are mirrored designs and used to make the additional levels for your quilt. *You do not need to mirror these blocks yourself. We have provided individual left and right blocks for each set. The brick block is used in conjunction with the edge blocks to make the third level and any additional level after that. In Step 2: Choosing The Quilt Size, you will see how the brick block is incorporated when you begin adding additional levels to your quilt.
