ASSEMBLING YOUR BAG M N SIDE 1 SIDE 1 SIDE 2 O P With the zipper stitched securely to the bag, close the zipper head part way inside the bag, almost to the first of the two corners. Q R am and pin together of the fabric Do not Stitch each seem 1/8” in from the edge of the fabric. Do not stitch the zipper into these seams. Sew the zipper to Side 2 approximately 1/16” in from the edge of the bag fabric. Remove the pins as you go. Match up the edges of a loose base seam and pin together. Repeat for all four unsewn seams. The point where the base seams meet the top zipper seam will not get finished cleanly at this point. Unzip the zipper most of the way, and wrap the loose side of the zipper around Side 2, matching the chalk marks with the corresponding edges and corners on the bag at the arrows. Again, keep the teeth 1/8” from the fabric edge, and pin securely in place. Close the zipper, and mark the 4 key points. These will be used to accurately place the zipper on Side 2.
