A PEEK INTO EMBROIDERY TECHNIQUES GHOST STITCH 1 2 When digitizing this collection we felt that a wide satin stitch outlining each element would cause a distraction to the beautiful embroidery. However, a more narrow satin stitch (2) would allow for a defining look without taking away from the design. That’s when we decided to add a ghost stitch (1). The ghost stitch is designed to match the accompanying appliqué. Its important for securing the appliqué but should remain blended in. The narrow satin stitch that outlines each element will give the design a perfect finishing touch. You’ll notice the ghost stitch throughout every design, don’t forget to match the thread color to the appliqué fabric. WATER WORLD | Full Collection | 175
