Since we are creating accessories made to be worn, we need to consider of the person (or pet) we are making the bow for when picking threads and fabrics. Start by thinking of their favorite colors, and what would look great on them. Using those as building blocks, round out the palette with colors that work well with these base colors: lighter and darker shades, as well as colors that accent. From there, you will simply be able to match threads to your fabrics.
