Working With Different Fabrics Using fabrics with patterns, textures, and elaborate weaves are always a sure-fire way to make your designs pop. For these designs we chose to go with fabrics that have a nice, subtle texture. Unique enough to give the design some life; yet, subtle enough to allow all of the embroidery to remain visible. Try using fabrics such as linens, corduroys, and lightlypatterned cottons to create your very own Haunted House! Foam or Poly-fil We love exploring our different options at Anita Goodesign! On top of that, we love showing you all of your options as well. For our advanced sewers and embroiderers, try giving yourself a little challenge and use foam. Using foam will be a little more challenging, since it will need to be perfectly cut to size. Alternatively, sometimes we want to take things easy. Instead of cutting and measuring foam, simply use Poly-fil to add stuffing to your house. The choice is yours! For our haunted house, we used Poly-fil to stuff the towers. Using foam will put your skills to the test! Using Poly-fil will make the project quicker and easier, so that you can finish and move on to your next Anita Goodesign project.
