179 TOWEL TIP When we made the towel toppers for Stitchin’ in the Kitchen, we Ingredients immediately decided to digitize beautiful coordinating designs for your towels! Combining these two projects together makes it easy to add extra flare to your kitchen! We knew that, with the length of the designs, we would need them to stitch as far down on the towel as possible without hooping it, so that the towel topper would not be covering the top of the design. While you have the option of using straight pins or spray adhesive, we chose to use a type of sticky back stabilizer called Floriani Perfect Stick Tear-away Stabilizer. While this is commonly used in the embroidery world, it has been many years since we have used or talked about this type of stabilizer. So, in this project we will be introducing (or re-introducing for some people) this Perfect Stick stabilizer, and going over proper technique. For those of you who are new to this type of stabilizer, its uses are endless and help you create wonderful designs on a number of items with ease!
