59 The Concept We are constantly looking for new ideas and techniques at Anita Goodesign. Ideas can come from anywhere, and our staff members are continually coming up with new and innovative ideas. We receive suggestions every day from our customers. We look for ideas when we are reading magazines, shopping, and even vacationing. You never know when or where inspiration is going to strike. We receive about 50 different magazine subscriptions a month from lifestyle, home design to fashion, and we are constantly ripping pages out for our inspiration board. All of those ideas are then tacked on a giant bulletin board. We hold weekly creative meetings to decide what we are going to create and release next, utilizing our bulletin board. The idea for the collection is decided as well as the project. We sketch or gather references to decide if it is a full or mini collection and then assign the amount of art needed to one of our full-time artists.
