NOTES SETTING YOUR START AND STOP The three diagrams to the left show the same segment, a fill stitch stitching left to right. In the top example the green dot represents the start and the red, the stop. If the next segment doesn’t start at the right side of the design, you can always move the stop point to where it needs to be. The middle example shows this being done. The purple rectangle illustrates the next segment in the design, so our fill needs to end there. You can simply move the ending point after you digitize segment. The bottom example shows the stop point being moved as well. The start point would be moved because of the angle of stitches. Once you move the start and stop points your software will calculate the new fill stitch path. This is a fairly new addition to software. When digitizing was in its infancy, you had to calculate all of these options yourself before you started a design. INCLUDED ART Art: DU-FSbasics4-6
