NOTES USING THIS BOOK Just a few years ago, I took a class at Disney Institute. If you’ve attended one of our Embroidery Parties over the last couple years, you will have heard from one of our Educators how this class changed a lot for us here at Anita Goodesign. We revamped our already amazing Club program to make it even better, we changed up our Embroidery Parties to make them even more fun, and we also were inspired to change the way we do our internal employee training. For each and every department here, we created manuals in binders just like this one. That way, no matter which team you join as a new employee at Anita Goodesign, you have all the knowledge and resources you need right at your finger tips. After looking through the digitizing manual I wrote for my staff, I realized that, if that’s how I train my own team of digitizers, why can’t I teach everyone else in a similar way? So, by applying a cohesive theme, Americana, and breaking down the information into easy to follow sections that build on each other, this workbook was formed! TAKING NOTES: One of the best parts about the way this book is designed is that we’ve included plenty of space on each page to take notes. That way, you can jot down any bits of information you want to reiterate or highlight in an organized way. USB STICK: We’ve included a USB stick with this workbook that contains both artwork and digitized designs that we’ll be covering in this course. You’ll see that when you come across included artwork or a scan of an included embroidery design in this book, it will be labeled with its file name so you can easily find it on the USB stick later on. Included artwork and embroidery designs will be designated with icons (see Iconolgy page).
