NOTES OUTLINING FILL STITCHES SATIN STITCH OUTLINES Sometimes, the artwork your digitizing from will call for it, or you may decide it’s necessary to outline your fills to better define the shapes. You can easily accomplish this with a satin stitch outline. The 2mm guideline still applies here, you never want to go thinner than that. Outlines will make the individual design elements stand out, even more so if you use a different color to do the outline.
