RE-SIZING A DESIGN NOTES This section is printed directly from the Anita Goodesign company manual, and it is the perfect way to look at re-sizing. The quality control features really come into play when we re-size our designs. It allows us to not change the stitch types when we make designs bigger or smaller. How big or small can you make a design? 20 percent up or down in size is the rule of thumb most digitizers followed for years. With new software features integrated into the designs, you can go even higher or lower. I always like to print the design out after I have digitized it to see if it is going to stitch properly. If the details in the design appear too small they won’t stitch out smoothly. The reverse is also true, if you have a very simple design and make it too big it will look plain and boring. The bigger the design, the more detail it needs.
