What Is Neon Thread? Neon thread can come in polyester, rayon, and more. While the type of thread may change, the word Neon has always meant extremely bright, vivid, or fluorescent colors. These colors became increasingly popular in the second half of the 20th century with a fashion explosion in the 1980’s. Recently, neon colors have been making a huge comeback in fashion and art, allowing you to use these vibrant threads in a number of projects. NEON THREAD Collections Using Neon threads Sometimes it’s hard to find things you would want to use neon threads with. With Floral Vases, we chose to make the flower petals using multiple neon colors, and everything else in gray-scale. Neon actually goes great with just about anything in gray-scale and the two complement each other, allowing the neon thread to pop, without being washed out by other colors.
