NOTES TILE SCENES The largest embroidery hoop is 9.5” x 14”. So, what do you do when you want to create a tapestry or large project? The answer is simple, we create a tile scene. A tile scene combines as few as 9 and as many as 100 blocks together to form a large scene. The results, when finished, are breathtaking. The artwork is created in one larger piece. We bring the design into our digitizing software this way. We need to see what is coming next and how to make sure the stitches all line up. A tile scene doesn’t have to be stitch intensive. When finished a tile scene can look like a painting or a large quilt. Always be careful along the seams. Tile scenes often need extra editing to make sure every stitch lines up from block to block. Make sure the first block is perfectly centered. If it isn’t, the whole design can be skewed.
