IF YOU CANT FIND THE RIGHT FABRIC...PAINT IT. Here are other examples of painted fabric. Not only is painting your quilt a good way to re-use a damaged or stained project, it is a great way to re-purpose embroidery designs that may not have turned out the way you wanted, or you could even take all of your mismatched quilt blocks, stitch them together, and then paint them.
