Nixa named 2017 Outstanding Board of Education. Nixa Public Schools Nixa Public School’s Board of Education was named a 2017 Outstanding Board of Education for teaching, learning and assessment by the Missouri School Boards’ Association. Nixa was one of 16 boards out of 520 across the state to receive the award. Board members were recognized for their work making sure the district has a current comprehensive curriculum, strong instructional leadership and effective instruction, data-based decision making regarding instruction and programming, balanced and comprehensive system of student assessment and student access to educational programing and resources. Nixa Public Schools is thankful for the board’s leadership and dedication to the students, staff and community. This award is the top honor a board can receive from the Missouri School Boards’ Association. “I know how hard this group works, so I am not surprised by this award. I am extremely proud of our Board of Education,” Board President Scott McDonald said. Nixa Board of Education members include McDonald, vice-president Linda Daughtery, secretary Glenn Scott, Mike Copeland, Josh Roberts, Brent Dunn, RaeLynn Anderson and treasurer Brenda Rantz. 2002. He serves on the board of the Nixa Education Foundation, and is a fellow with the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology. Naugle’s passion for sports and his dream to see as many kids participate in team sports as possible led him to envision a state-of-theart sports facility. He and his wife, Kristen, own and operate the Fieldhouse Sportscenter in south Springfi eld. The Fieldhouse Sportscenter is a 46,000-square-foot sports facility featuring basketball, volleyball, training and much more.
