With 43 parks, two golf courses, and miles of beaches to choose from, we have something to offer everyone. The Parks and Natural Resources Department’s recreation programs provide opportunities for residents and visitors to improve their lives in quality, safe and beautiful parks. Manatee County has eight public boat ramps. Facilities are open 24/7. Schedule your pavilion for family gatherings, birthday parties, picnics and barbecues. We ask that you plan ahead and apply for a permit at least 60 days in advance of your planned function. Beach events may require permits from the local municipality. A ���������������� ������������ ������ �������������� ������ ���� ���������������� �������� ���������������� ������ �������������������� ���������� ������ �������� ���������������� ������������������������ ������ ���� ���������������� association, or organization, other than Manatee County, and involving people gathered for a designated activity other than normal park/preserve/beach activities which include swimming, picnicking, and/or sports activities. Examples of special events include, but are not limited to: weddings, organized sports tournaments, educational seminars, concerts, and any activity where admission is charged to the general public. There are two fenced-in areas: one is for larger or very active dogs – and the other area is for smaller dogs and those that are fragile or elderly. Amenities include benches, shade, doggie drinking fountain, and waste bags.
