Letter from the Director When you look over the illustration below, you will come to recognize all that we do! I like to think of it as a passion to preserve and protect our environment in Manatee County, mixed with a compassion for the wellbeing of our community and its visitors. From ecological testing of our estuaries’ water quality to organizing yoga classes for the visitors to our beaches to offering classes for healthy relationships, the Parks & Natural Resources Department staff take to heart their responsibilities of ensuring we are all surrounded by a safe and beautiful environment that will enhance the quality of life for all in Manatee County. We take great pride in providing a wide diversity of programs in our Department. This program brought together a variety of people from diverse backgrounds for the common goal of exercise and to improve water quality. Come join us and become a volunteer steward of our lands, bring the family to a special event, or participate in one of our many programs. We look forward to seeing you in our parks, preserves, and throughout Manatee County.
