Welcome to the SAiRA Magazine Inside you will find visual guides and links to some of St. Augustine’s best and most unique restaurants. All independently owned and operated. Each establishment brings its own individual style and quality to really enhance the overall experiences in cuisine in the oldest city. Founded 10 years ago by a group of owners wanting to combine their efforts at marketing independent, unique restaurants as a vital part of the culture and attraction of St. Augustine as a destination city. Since then, the association, 16 restaurants strong and growing has become a well-known, well loved, integral part of the city. The restaurants themselves are acclaimed for their quality, at all levels, from super casual to fine dining. Located from the northern to southern edges of St. Augustine, patrons can enjoy multiple cuisine styles, and unique settings from oceanfront and intracoastal side to historic. All the restaurants are involved with the community through charitable and community originations and come together every year to showcase their talents in a food and wine festival, benefitting a local charity followed by a city wide restaurant week. The food and wine festival, in its 6th year has raised close to $100,000.00 Looking ahead the association will continue to grow in size and push the quality of dining to new heights. It is also starting its own foundation to raise money for education programs tied to the hospitality industry to guarantee a quality workforce for the future, and as a charitable base for hospitality employees facing great need.
