steps STITCHING TILE SCENE TOGETHER Remove the fabric and binding from your sewing machine. Now fold the binding back on itself, perpendicular to the seam you just stitched. This will create a diagonal fold over the stitch created from point B-C in step R. Continue stitching the binding to the quilt using a 1/2” seam allowance. Repeat steps R-T to attach the binding to the remaining edges and corners of the quilt. Now flip your quilt over to the back side and place on a flat surface. First, fold the binding raw edge to the raw edge of the backing fabric. Then, fold the binding once again, so that it overlaps the stitching line. Press and pin in place. Continue placing your binding strip along the next edge, creating a fold along the bottom corner as shown in dotted circle. The end of the binding strip will overlap the starting point of your binding by at least 2.5”. This edge will finish itself once you wrap the binding back. The 4 corners of your quilt will need to be folded as shown to create the mitered finish. Pin the corners in place. | |102
