������������������������������ FINISHING THE TOTE BAG steps �� �� You are now ready to attach the pocket to lining #1. We recommend folding lining #1 in half and then press to find the center as you did to the pocket in step ‘E”. Now place the pocket on top of lining #1 (unfolded) 5 1/4” down from the top of lining #1. Line up both creased center lines with right sides facing up. Pin in place. �� �� ������������������������ ������������������������������������������������������������ ������������������������������ ������������������������������������ ���������������������� �������������������������������� Place lining #2 on top of lining #1, right sides together, and pin in place. The pocket will now be on the inside. Sew along the sides and bottom with a 1/2” seam allowance, leaving a 10.0” opening along the bottom to turn finished bag right side out. ������������������������������������������������������������������������ �� �� Sew the corner seams together with a 1/2” seam allowance. Using your sewing machine, stitch the pocket to lining #1 using a 1/4” seam allowance. Stitch along the sides and bottom. Then stitch a line down the middle (folding crease created in step ‘E’) to create 2 pockets. Using picture in step ‘I’ as a reference, pull both A points on each side towards the bottom B points to form the corners of your lining. Pin in place.
