steps CREATING BUTTON APPLIQUÉS ������������������ CREATING BUTTON APPLIQUÉS steps ���������������������������������������� �� �� To create your button, start by hooping a piece of tearaway stabilizer. Run step 1 of the design which is your placement stitch for your base fabric. Note: Try merging multiple button designs into your machine at once, that way you can conserve on stabilizer. �� �� The next machine step will be the tack down stitch, securing the base fabric in place. �� �� Once trimmed, continue on with remaining embroidery steps of the design. Place your base fabric over top of the placement stitch, completely covering all sides. Using scissors, carefully trim away the excess fabric from the tack down stitches. Once all of the embroidery steps are complete, carefully tear away the design from the stabilizer. Also, be sure to remove the stabilizer underneath the base fabric.
