�������������������������������� steps CREATING VOTIVE BAGS �� �� In order to create the votive bag, stitch out an additional block the exact same way. Note: if using a fabric that frays easily, serge the edges of all four sides before attaching the two blocks together. �� �� Using your sewing machine, straight stitch the sides and bottom with a 1/2” seam allowance, leaving the top edges open. �� �� Next, mark the bottom corners of both blocks with 1½” x 1½” squares as shown. Place the blocks on top of one another with right sides together. Match up the tack down stitches and pin in place. Your votive bag should look like this up to this point.
