�������������������������������� steps CREATING VOTIVE BAGS Continue on by using an iron to press open the seams on each side of the bag. Using a sewing machine, straight stitch both corners in place with a 1/2” seam allowance. Then, clip the seam allowance to 1/4” as shown in smaller picture. Match your bobbin to your top thread, and then finish the top edge of your bag with a 1/2” top stitch. Small picture shows top edge sewn in place. �� You are now ready to finish the bottom corners of your votive bag. Using the diagram on left as a reference, pull point A to point B on both sides, lining up the seam allowances. Pin in place as indicated with an ‘X’ in the picture on the right. The bottom corners of the votive bag are now finished. Continue creating the votive bag by folding down the raw top edge 1/2” (towards back side of design) and pin in place. The final step is to turn your votive bag right side out. This is an example of a completed Heirloom Votive Bag.
