STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS STEP A To start, hoop a piece of tear-away stabilizer to fit hoop. Then run the first machine step of the design, which will be the placement stitch. STEP B Place a piece of art paper over the placement stitch, making sure to cover it on all sides. Be sure to use tape or spray adhesive to keep your paper securely in place. Art paper will have a tendency to shift. STEP C The machine will continue to the tacking stitch which is the tight zig-zag stitch. This will secure the paper to the stabilizer. Do not trim away the excess paper at this point. Wait until you are finished to use a rotary cutter to get a cleaner cut. NOTIONS TIP
