OCTOBER 2017 PROJECT 62 Choosing great threads will turn your embroidery into art! CHOOSING THREADS Choosing colors for these simple designs is fun. We kept it simple and limited our thread selection to 6 colors. This helps these clean-looking designs from getting cluttered, and will help one heart tie in with the rest of them. Keeping in mind that this collection is holiday themed, we began by picking a deep red and green that will show well off the white paper. To round it out we picked a walnut brown, a bright red, and a mossy green that work well with our red and green base. For a little Christmas magic, we dropped in a bright metallic gold to finish up our palette. The holiday season is all about a happy home and a happy family. A well planned color selection for your Holiday Hearts designs will help warm your home and your heart!
