Festive Tile Scene ANATOMY The folded fabric borders of each block are numbered in the order you need to place them when stitching each block design. 1 Some of the blocks in The Heirloom Christmas Tile Scenes have detailed embroidery on top of the folded fabric borders. This gives the illusion as though you are truly looking through an actual window. 3 4 Each design is created using a variety of different types of textured appliqué fabric. The design steps for each block will specify what appliqué is to be placed while creating your tile scene. 2 We suggest gathering all of your appliqué fabrics and laying them out in order to make sure you like the combination of colors before picking your threads or getting started. All steps that are not batting or appliqué in the instructions will be highlighted in bold to help you prepare your threads as well.
