Vintage Hand Bag steps STITCHING HAND BAG BLOCKS g h Depending on the design, run the embroidery steps until the step for your placement stitch for your first piece of appliqué fabric. i j The next machine step will be the tack down stitch for the appliqué fabric. Using scissors, trim away the excess fabric from the tack down stitches. Use steps G-J for any remaining appliqué fabrics of the design. k l Continue running the remaining embroidery steps of the design. Place your appliqué fabric over top of the placement stitches, completely covering all sides. Using a rotary cutter and ruler, trim your quilt block using a 1/2” seam allowance.
