STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS M N We will now start the quilt block. To do so, hoop a piece of noshow mesh stabilizer and stitch your squaring stitch. Note: The entire design will be inside of these squaring stitches. O P Trim the excess batting as close to the tack down stitches as possible. Q R Lay the base fabric over the top of the placement stitches, completely covering all sides and run the tacking stitch. Once you trim away all excess materials, your reverse trapunto appliqué piece will look like this. Set this piece aside for later. Place a piece of batting over the top of the squaring stitches.
