STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS A B The next step will be the placement stitch for the first piece of appliqué. Place a piece of fabric over the top of the placement stitches. Be sure to completely cover all sides. C D Trim the appliqué fabric, leaving seam allowance where required. For the appliqué that extends around the top opening of the bag, trim tight to the stitches. Refer to the Cut Line Artwork. E F Continue with the remaining appliqués and then the decorative stitches. When trimming the appliqués, refer to the Cut Line Artwork. To begin, hoop a piece of tear-away stabilizer and stitch Step 1. This is an outline stitch. Any piece of appliqué that extends over this stitch will be trimmed with a seam allowance. Any piece of appliqué that does not will be trimmed close to the stitches. Step 2 of the design will tack the appliqué in place. Note: The Gingerbread Man is the only design in this collection with only one appliqué.
