Digi-Details To enhance the appeal of these designs, our digitizers paid close attention to detail when choosing the different types of stitches to make each design pop! You’ll notice the several layers of stitches on top of one another in the flowers and leaves of each design and how each layer adds a deeper sense of realism to the stitch outs! On top of that, we placed a unique satin stitch known as the ghost stitch that simply acts as a shading for appliqué fabrics! When stitching your ghost stitch, you always want to use a thread color that coordinates with your appliqué fabrics so that you’re able to achieve this shading effect. The Perfect Project! These teapot designs would look delightful on a plethora of projects, but we came up with the perfect one at Anita Goodesign! How better to use these designs than by creating an actual Teapot Cover for your favorite antique teapot at home! Follow along in the tutorial to see our in-depth instructions on how to construct your own, fullylined teapot cover from start to scratch. We even added Insul-Brite lining to keep things hot and keep our fabrics in perfect shape! DESIGN DETAILS Ghost Stitches Cool Fabrics for Hot Stitch Outs! When you see antique teapots, you typically see them in “cool” color-ways. Soft teals, taupes, corals, and more! We wanted to mimic these same colors with our appliqué fabrics to make even more amazing designs! TEAPOT COVERS | Projects Collection | 241
