STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS STEP J The first step in assembling your quilt is to take two of the top row blocks and place them faceto face. Carefully align the squaring stitches. STEP K Use pins to hold the blocks together along the seams to be joined. STEP L Using a straight stitch, sew the common seam of the blocks together, slightly inside the squaring stitch line. Remove the pins as you go. FOLK QUILT | Anita’s Express | 277 TIP Stitching just barely inside of the squaring stitches will hide them when you unfold the now joined blocks.
