STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS STEP V Starting along the bottom, align the binding edge to the placemat edge with the right-sides together. Fold the top edge of the binding back at a 45 degree angle as shown. Pin along edge to secure. STEP W Next, attach the binding using a 1⁄2" seam allowance, removing the pins as you go. Continue all the way around the placemat. When you get back to the starting point, overlap it by 2" and trim away any binding beyond that point. STEP X Fold the binding out and press flat.
