Doodle Tote Bag FINISHING THE TOTE BAG steps l m Place your lining inside the tote bag. The tote bag should still be inside out. Pin the lining to the bag along the top edge. Each side seam of the lining should be centered in the middle of each side panel of bag. n o This is what your bag should look like with attached lining. p q With your tote bag right side out, your lining fabric will create a 1/2” binding along the top edge of the bag. Stitch all the way around the top edges of both lining and tote bag using a 1/2” seam allowance, removing the pins as you go. Turn the bag right side out using the opening in the lining fabric.
