Offroad Nation Magazine made it’s return to Esperance, New York this past June for a weekend of action and good times! We rolled in early Friday morning and were welcomed at the gate by the Maddness crew. They have the parking divided up to help the larger trucks and trailers park with ease and since we had ol’ Trucknorris in tow we hooked a quick right and found a nice top of the knoll spot to set up camp. We roped off a section big enough for the rest of our crew who was coming in later, unloaded the golf cart and went exploring. Shawn Michalski made the trip out with me and seeing as he’d been there before and I hadn’t, he directed me on which way to head. As mentioned, the Park’s camping arrangement is broken up and it works really well. It’s almost like a few small towns are developed for the weekend. We bounced from village to village visiting old friends and meeting new ones. It wasn’t long until our friends started arriving so we would cruise back and forth to get them parked. The rains that came earlier in the week had made a few of the roads a little tough to navigate and that’s when we ran into the owner of the park John Scrima. John was in a huge dozer literally creating roads! The dump truck would bring load after load of material and John would spread it around. It’s that kind of effort that makes a place like this so enjoyable. Now that you have a bit of an overview of the layout lets get into the action!
