Today, Clearwater enjoys an economic impact of $145 million from sport tourism, with more than $125 million (or 90 percent) coming from Philadelphia Phillies Spring Training. With our combined professional and amateur events each year, Clearwater is responsible for twothirds of Pinellas County’s total sports tourism. Eddie C. Moore Complex alone hosts around 42 athletic events a year. The city has also been selected to host national and international events this year.
