22 GROWS 2017 GROWS GIVES BACK Your participation helps GROWS actively support the local green industry. All proceeds from the conference go directly back to the industry to support the work of these associations, as well as other allied and community organizations. To date, GROWS has awarded more than $500,000 in grants to the New England state Cooperative Extension Systems. Recently, GROWS grants have helped to fund regional research projects such as using beneficials, pollinator health, and wildflower meadow establishment. Grants have also been used by Extension for industry education and outreach, to help recruit students to our profession, and the development of field diagnostic test kits. Funds from the conference also support related community-based programs, such as the Boston Schoolyard Initiative and the student-centric FFA organization. MEMBERSHIP MATTERS Volunteers from four local associations collaborate to produce New England GROWS. Each organization offers many unique opportunities to help boost your business and your bottom line. Be sure to stop by their displays in Network Central at GROWS and learn how membership can benefit you.
