Jimmy Buffett Musical Kicks Off 2017-18 Broadway in New Orleans Season The 2017–2018 East Jefferson General Hospital Broadway in New Orleans season at the Saenger Theatre will kick off with new musical comedy getaway Escape to Margaritaville in October. Imagine a place where the sun is hot, the water’s warm and the drinks are as cold as they are plentiful. Welcome to Margaritaville, the island paradise where city folk get away from it all and the locals get into the kind of trouble you can almost always sweet talk your way out of. Take a break from your troubles, make some new friends at the bar and kick back to the soothing sounds of the kettledrum. It doesn’t get much better than this! From creative team members Jimmy Buffett, Greg Garcia, Mike O’Malley, Kelly Divine and Christopher Ashley, Escape to Margaritaville will make its pre-Broadway premiere in New Orleans Oct. 20–28, followed by stops in Houston and Chicago before setting sail to Broadway in New York City.
