NATIVE PLANT HORTICULTURE FOUNDATION NATIVE PLANTS ARE ESSENTIAL for conserving water, creating healthy landscapes and supporting wildlife, including pollinators. Demand for native plants is steadily increasing, but in too many communities today, there is not a good answer to these questions: “Where can I get these plants?” “Who can I hire to do this?” We have an urgent need now to help communities become sustainable by expanding the supply of native plants and native plant professionals. FOUNDATION PROGRAMS STUDENT SUPPORT We fund industry exposure, experience and education opportunities for high school and college students interested in native plant careers. INTERNSHIPS We connect businesses, municipalities and nonprofits with students and careerchangers exploring opportunities in the native plant industry. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT We fund native plant and native plant business training programs for students and industry professionals. EDUCATION & OUTREACH We support and collaborate with partner organizations to provide education and outreach for students, the gardening public and industry professionals. We’ve already made great strides, thanks to generous help from people just like you, who want sustainable communities and know that native plants are a key part of the solution.
