Community Grand Marshal REBECCA STOROZUK Orange County’s fi rst transgender deputy comes off the sidelines and into her fi rst parade JEREMY WILLIAMS It has been quite a year for Orange County sheriff ’s deputy Rebecca Storozuk. Storozuk publicly came out earlier this year as Orange County’s fi rst transgender deputy. Storozuk joined the Orange County Sheriff ’s Offi ce in 2012 after serving in the United States Army. While Storozuk has watched many Pride parades on the sidelines, this will be her fi rst time marching in one. Storozuk took a few moments to talk with us about her big day in the sun, what life has been like since coming out and how it felt to be named Come Out With Pride’s Community Grand Marshal. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU TO BE NAMED A COME OUT WITH PRIDE GRAND MARSHAL? In a community like Orlando, which is my home, a city that I love and never want to leave, it is a tremendous honor.
