Thursday, starting at 6:00pm, a draft pony pull will be held. Local teams will compete pulling a dead-weight sled in a fashion that will rival their full-size counterparts. Late Friday afternoon locals will line up for antique tractor games and a friendly pull-off, and the crowd can test their strength against a ������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������ smokestacks as several steam tractors put on a “spark show” grand ������������ Saturday morning the giant steam tractors will be on the track to give the engineers a test of skill in several old-fashioned drills including the “block race”, “gate race” and “slow race”. In the dining tent Thursday and Friday evenings, starting at 7:00 pm, spectators will be treated to live music from local bluegrass bands that will add to the old-time atmosphere. A wide variety of local food vendors will be on hand to help satisfy the tastes of anyone. In addition to the main food tent where a variety of grilled sandwiches and classic sides can be purchased, specialties of kettle corn, handmade pretzels, fresh-churned ice cream will be on the grounds. Plan to bring the family for a real pit-barbeque dinner Thursday and Friday. The Doughty Valley Steam Days antique farm �������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������� to the Guggisburg Swiss Inn. Gates open for spectators at 7:00 a.m. each day. Admission for those 13 and older is still just a $4 donation to help defray costs of the event. Parking is free.
