LEESVILLE LAKE MARINAS by Christine M. Irvin Keith Ott, and his wife, Danielle, are becoming well-known in the area because of their marina businesses. Leesville South Fork Marina, at 4131 Deer Road SW, Bowerston, Ohio has been a landmark business for generations. Originally founded as Leesville Concessions in the early 1940s, some local history buffs may remember the marina as Straun’s Landing, Harris Marina or most recently Clows Landing. In early 2012, the marina was purchased from the Clow family by 28-year marine industry veteran, Keith Ott, and his wife Danielle, who renamed it Leesville South Fork Marina. In June 2015, the Ott family expanded their marina activities by establishing Ohio Valley Boats, LLC (www. OhioValleyBoats.com) at Seneca Lake Marina. Ohio Valley Boats, LLC is a boat sales and service company. The Otts entered into a lease with MWCD to operate boat sales, service and storage facilities at Seneca Lake Marina. Since then, Ohio Valley Boats has sold and delivered boats all over the Ohio Valley area, as well as to places like Port Clinton, OH, Grand Rapids, MI, and Seattle, WA. Then, in April 2017, the Ott family signed a lease with MWCD to operate the old Petersburg Marina and Campground, renaming the facility Leesville North Fork Marina & Campground. Since purchasing the Leesville South Fork Marina, the Otts have made quite a few upgrades to the facility, in addition to a new public launch ramp installed by the MWCD. Their pontoon ������������������������������������������������������ been replaced with brand new boats the owners proudly say are the nicest rental pontoon boats in the Ohio Valley area. The Otts are keeping their �������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������� and sell kayaks and paddle boards.
