E V E N T D I R E C T I O N S The following directions are listed to assist with the general location of each site. All directions have been given from U.S. 19 as a standard general point of reference and may not indicate the most direct route from your location. The Tampa Bay area has many highways and toll roads that may provide a more direct and expedient route. Numbers next to each venue correspond with a map on the inside back cover. 1. Clearwater High School 48 Track & Field, 1500m Race Walk 540 S Hercules Ave., Clearwater, FL 33764 From U.S. 19: Take FL-60 W/Gulf to Bay Boulevard west 1.6 miles and Clearwater High School is on the left at the corner of Gulf to Bay Boulevard and Hercules. Go past the school and stadium and make your first U-turn. Turn right into the parking lot just east of the stadium. 2. Clearwater Lawn Bowls and Shuffleboard Complex Lawn Bowls, Shuffleboard 1040 Calumet St., Clearwater, FL 33755 From U.S. 19: Take Sunset Point Road west 4 miles until it tees at Fort Harrison Avenue. Turn left onto Fort Harrison. Turn left onto Calumet Street and the complex is on the left. 3. Countryside Country Club Golf 3001 Countryside Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33761 From U.S. 19: Take Countryside Boulevard northeast for approximately 1.6 miles. The club will be on the right, just north of SR 580 and south of Curlew Road. 4. Crest Lake Park Cycling Road Race 201 S. Glenwood Ave., Clearwater, FL 33755 From U.S. 19: Take Gulf to Bay Boulevard (SR 60) west for 2.8 miles to Glenwood Avenue. Turn right onto Glenwood Avenue. Parking is available in the lot on the right; when that is full, street parking along Glenwood Avenue and then in the designated grassy area. Parking will not be permitted outside of the designated areas. 5. Ed C. Wright Park Horseshoes 1326 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., Clearwater, FL 33756 From U.S. 19: Take SR 60 W/Gulf to Bay Bouelvard west 3.8 miles to Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue. Turn left on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue. The park is on the right in 0.9 miles. 6. Fort De Soto Park Cycling Time Trials 3500 Pinellas Bayway S., Tierra Verde, FL 33715 From U.S. 19: Take 54th Avenue South/Pinellas Bayway west for 2.3 miles, through the toll plaza, to SR 679/Pinellas Bayway. Turn left onto SR 679/Pinellas Bayway and continue to enter the park. Parking is to the left, the course is to the right. 7. Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex Archery 2450 Drew St., Clearwater, FL 33765 From U.S. 19: Take Drew Street west to the first traffic light at Coachman Road. The complex is on the right, at the corner of Coachman Road and Drew Street. Parking is accessible from Drew Street or Coachman Road. 8. John Chesnut Sr. Park 5K Road Race, Race Walk, Power Walk 2200 East Lake Road S., Palm Harbor, FL 34685 From U.S. 19: Take Tampa Road east 2 miles to East Lake Road. Turn left onto East Lake Road and head north. Keep right at the fork and continue onto East Lake Road heading north. After the fork, the park is approximately 1.5 miles on the left. You will need to go past the park and make a U-turn to access the main entrance.
