ZOA Campus Throughout the spring semester, we co-sponsored a variety of events that proudly displayed Zionist values and educated both students and faculty about the importance of Israel advocacy. ZOA CAMPUS: THE MOST UNAPOLOGETIC ZIONIST VOICE ON AMERICAN UNIVERSITY CAMPUSES ONWARD AND UPWARD AROUND THE COUNTRY ZOA Campus achieved new heights, both on campuses and within our department, in the 2016-17 academic year. Campus coordinators helped to plan and execute 206 meaningful pro-Israel and Zionist events on 123 campuses across the nation, with over 155 pro-Israel student groups. Leore Ben-David, formerly associate director of ZOA Campus and the West Coast Campus Coordinator, has been promoted to managing director of ZOA Campus. New England Campus Coordinator Jonathan Ginsburg also rose in the ranks, to his new role as associate director of ZOA Campus. Southeast Campus Coordinator Annie Cohen joined the team in the fall of 2016, and has been engaging college students in her region in pro- Israel activities while promoting Zionism on campus. ZOA Campus was honored to host Mark Halawa, a Kuwaiti-born Muslim who discovered and reclaimed his Jewish roots, at Florida Atlantic University. ZOA Campus also co-sponsored a tour of campuses throughout Florida with writer and activist Hen Mazzig. Midwest Campus Coordinator Liora Chaya Levich, who grew up in Ma’ale Adumim, is the department’s newest addition at the time of writing. Based in Chicago, she began working at the ZOA in early 2017. ZOA Campus continues to have strong relationships with key schools in the Midwest region.
