ZOA AROUND THE COUNTRY • Advocacy-training workshops to help young professionals turn their passion into effective messaging. Topics will include social media, political engagement, effective pro-Israel messaging, and more; • Larger Zionist-themed parties to welcome in new people and spread the ZOA brand to a new audience. Building this initiative will require help from numerous young professional leaders. To this end, ZOA New York has formed a young professionals board to help launch these programs. The board had its first meeting over the summer and plans to meet regularly during the year. EXPANSION OF EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES ZOA New York is also excited to announce the expansion of our general community activities. We plan to run events roughly once a month for community members ranging from educational speakers to social galas and everything in between. Additionally, the chapter has already taken advantage of the beautiful event space in the ZOA’s new midtown Manhattan national headquarters. In July, we hosted Dr. Mordechai Kedar there, with more than 70 people attending, and we plan to hold similar events throughout the year. The ZOA is an event-based, grassroots organization dedicated to providing opportunities for Zionists to learn about and advocate for Israel. ZOA New York’s event expansion aims to accomplish 34 exactly that. BUILDING NEW PARTNERSHIPS ZOA New York has started to expand its partnership network with the goal of bringing more people into the ZOA. Over the summer, New York Executive Director Zach Stern met with numerous heads of other pro-Israel organizations to create the foundation for more events with more partners. He has many events in the works with these organizations, which will be posted on nyc.zoa.org. GET INVOLVED IN ZOA NEW YORK! Interested in getting involved in this growing chapter?
