EMBROIDERY 101 STANDARD EMBROIDERY STANDARD SATIN STITCH OUTLINE Standard embroidery designs can also use satin stitches to outline the embroidered images. Outlines make the individual design elements stand out. SELF COLOR OUTLINE This example shows the same outline technique except that it uses the same color as the fill stitch. This is our preferred method to outline an object when there isn’t a separate outline color. The satin stitch outline defines the shape and gives the area a well defined border.
